The GFF facilitated a Country Implementation Workshop which took place from 16-21 September in Dar El Salaam, Tanzania. The workshop brought together country teams from seven implementing GFF-supported countries: Cameroon, Ethiopia, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda. Over 130 participants attended the workshop from within and outside the government as well as a range of partners and stakeholders. The workshop agenda and objectives covered implementation progress to date and particularly focused on strengthening results monitoring, including implementation research, as well as identifying the current (and potential) added value of the GFF at the country level, and identifying areas for improvement. Additionally participants provided input on the GFF implementation guidelines and agreed on next steps to further progress on implementation and monitoring of the theory of change for the GFF in their context, including strengthening the country platform.
