With GFF support, the government of Mali is prioritizing health financing reforms to ensure that quality health services are delivered to the most vulnerable communities.

Investments focus on scaling up the community health worker program, improving supply chains for medical commodities and equipment, increasing adolescent access to health services, and tackling gender-based violence. The government has also introduced strategic purchasing of health services and is making efforts to strengthen insurance programs as a way to reach universal health care. Another priority is strengthening civil registration and vital statistics and data quality and availability to inform decision-making.
