Investors Group
At the global level, the broad set of partners that comprise the GFF — including governments, civil society organizations, the private sector, UN agencies, Gavi, and the Global Fund and private foundations — convene regularly through the GFF Investors Group (IG). The IG plays a key role in fostering alignment at the country level and serves as an advisory board to the GFF TFC and the GFF Secretariat.
All key documents related to each IG meeting can be found here.
Key functions of the IG:
1.
Fosters joint ownership for the GFF as a partnership, focusing on country empowerment to drive collaboration and alignment around the investment case through country platforms
2.
Strengthens health financing support in countries to achieve more results from existing resources and increase the total volume of financing for investment cases
3.
Conducts systematic performance reviews of the GFF and promotes accountability for results — both programmatic and in terms of financing for health at country level
4.
Provides strategic advice to the GFF TFC and the GFF Secretariat, and fosters innovation and learning from country experiences
The IG is led by two co-chairs: one partner country representative and one donor representative. Her Excellency Dr. Lia Tadesse, Minister of Health from Ethiopia, and Her Excellency Pascalle Grotenhuis, Vice Minister for International Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Netherlands, are currently co-chairing the IG.

“Adapting and building primary health care in a way that is sustainable takes time, energy, financing, and political will. It’s evident that the support of the GFF partnership for countries is an enabler for systemic change to happen. Millions more women and children survive and thrive as a result." — Lia Tadesse, Minister of Health from Ethiopia, and co-chair of the GFF Investors Group
