The GFF has supported the government of Myanmar to strengthen primary health care systems, reform health financing, and leverage private sector expertise and innovation for delivering quality health services to the poor and most vulnerable women, children and adolescents.

The ongoing political and humanitarian crisis in Myanmar and other overlapping crises are continuing to put extra pressures on already strained health systems. The World Bank has paused lending disbursements (including GFF co-financing) while assessing the situation as per the Bank’s operational policies. As such, the GFF has refocused its engagement towards technical assistance and analytical work to assess ways for continuing to support service delivery while building a resilient health system.
