The GFF is supporting the development of Ghana’s Health Sector Medium Term Development Plan 2022–25 that serves as the country’s investment case.

Strong focus is placed on health financing and primary health care reforms to channel more resources to the frontlines to improve the quality of maternal and neonatal services, among other priorities. As part of this effort, the government is conducting a resource mapping and expenditure tracking exercise, backed by the GFF, to improve understanding of resource allocation while investing in monitoring and better data systems.

In addition to these priorities, the government is scaling up innovations in areas such as information systems, electronic medical records, and telemedicine to reach the poorest, most remote communities with the services they need.
