COVID-19 is spreading throughout the world, disrupting essential health services and threatening to turn back the clock on years of global progress on reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health. This closed-door event focused on how the global community can honor its commitment and ensure all women, children and adolescents access the quality, affordable health care they need to survive and thrive.  

The event looked at the importance for gender-responsive policies and systems – drawing on examples of what works – and how advancing gender equality is crucial to get back on track and accelerate progress for women children and adolescent’s health.
