The GFF is supporting Bangladesh’s investment case through a sector-wide approach to help the government expand health services in regions with lagging health outcomes, such as in Sylhet and Chittagong.

To help avoid adolescent pregnancy, enable girls to stay in school and improve gender equality, the government works with the GFF and other partners to strengthen linkages between the health and education sectors.  One example is in developing school-based programs to provide health services to adolescents and identifying impactful interventions to provide incentives for vulnerable girls to remain in school.

With GFF support, the government is aligning partners around health financing reforms and domestic resource mobilization, among other actions. Focus is also placed on strengthening private sector engagement in the delivery of health services.
