No. 10 in the GFF/WHO Health Financing & PHC Webinar Series

Primary health care (PHC) is recognized as a good investment for countries as they strive to achieve universal health coverage (UHC). Yet high levels of fragmentation of PHC financing lead to inefficiency, inequity, and dampens the effectiveness of service delivery.

In this webinar, we will discuss the latest evidence on fragmentation and hear from Argentina, Burkina Faso, Indonesia and Tanzania on steps taken to minimize its consequences: (1) consolidating multiple coverage schemes; (2) avoiding further fragmentation; (3) harmonizing health purchasing functions; and (4) streamlining funding flows to the provider level.

NOTE: This webinar will be conducted in English with simultaneous translation in French.
