No. 11 in the GFF/WHO Health Financing & PHC Webinar Series

Over the past two decades, Brazil has significantly improved its key health indicators, expanded access to healthcare, and reduced health inequalities. These achievements were made possible by a sustained shift towards Primary Health Care (PHC), supported by major health financing reforms.

This webinar has two main objectives:

  1. To provide an insider’s perspective on Brazil’s PHC reorientation—highlighting its successes and ongoing challenges.
  2. To extract key lessons from Brazil’s experience that can inform health system reforms in other low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Contributors from Kenya and Pakistan will offer comparative insights.

NOTE: This webinar will be conducted in English with simultaneous translation in French.
