Launch of the GFF x CIVIC Voices New Funding Opportunity
On behalf of PATH, the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), and the Organisation of African Youth (OAY), we are pleased to invite you to the official launch of the GFF × CIVIC VOICES consortium and a new funding opportunity for local civil society and youth-led organizations.
The GFF × CIVIC Platform, a partnership between the Global Financing Facility for Women, Children and Adolescents (GFF) and the World Bank Group’s Civil Society and Social Innovation Alliance (CIVIC), is investing in stronger, more meaningful, and sustainable engagement of civil society and youth-led organizations in health systems and decision-making to improve health and nutrition outcomes for women, children, and adolescents.
The VOICES Consortium (Voices Organizing for Inclusive Civic Engagement and Sustainability) brings together PATH, AFIDEP, and OAY to work across 22 GFF partner countries in Africa. VOICES will strengthen the capacity and influence of civil society and youth-led organizations to advance advocacy and accountability around domestic resource mobilization for women’s, children’s, and adolescent health and nutrition.
A two-year initiative, VOICES will provide funding support, technical assistance, and mentorship to support local CSOs, youth-led or youth-serving organizations, and community-based organizations to help them engage more meaningfully in advocacy to mobilize more domestic investments in reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health and nutrition (RMNCAH+N) in their respective countries.
This event will also mark the formal announcement of the VOICES Call for Proposals, opening the opportunity for eligible local organizations to apply.
