Engage with the GFF at the 4th Financing for Development Conference (FFD4) in Seville, Spain
Details
The 4th Financing for Development Conference (FFD4)—taking place in Seville, Spain, from June 30 to July 3, 2025—provides a unique opportunity to reform financing at all levels, including to support reform of the international financial architecture and addressing financing challenges preventing the urgently needed investment push for the Sustainable Development Goals.
We invite you to engage with the GFF at FFD4 by joining us at the following events:
TUESDAY, JULY 1 | 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. CEST
FFD4 Side Event | Catalyzing Sustainable, Country-Led Health Financing for Women, Children, and Adolescents
On behalf of the Governments of Canada, Norway, and the Global Financing Facility for Women, Children and Adolescents (GFF), it is our pleasure to invite you to attend an in-person high-level side event entitled, Catalyzing sustainable, country-led health financing for women, children, and adolescents, on July 1 at 8:30 a.m. as part of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development.
Recent shifts in the global financing architecture have shown the relevance of the Addis Ababa Action Agenda with a more pressing need to reduce donor dependency, accelerate domestic resource mobilization and deploy blended financing tools. Ten years on from the launch of GFF at the last FFD, panelists will discuss partnership models that have crowded in more and better financing for women, children and adolescents and how to apply and adapt these learnings to the new global development reality.
Register to attend this event in person (FFD4 conference registration required).
Please contact amonceau@worldbank.org for any questions regarding the RSVP.
TUESDAY, JULY 1 | 10:30 to 12:30 a.m. CEST
FFD4 Side Event | Leveraging Resources for Impact: Investing in Nutrition through Innovative Financing Mechanisms, Integration and Country Leadership
Malnutrition remains one of the most persistent and devastating barriers to human development—yet despite its far-reaching impact, nutrition financing remains critically under-prioritized across both global and domestic budgets, even as the scale of the crisis intensifies: 45 percent of child deaths find their root cause in malnutrition and by 2030, nearly 600 million people are projected to be chronically undernourished. Over one billion women and adolescent girls currently suffer from malnutrition, and anemia affects nearly two billion people globally.
Luc Laviolette, GFF Head of Secretariat, joins the panel at this high-level session—cohosted by ACTION Global Health Advocacy Partnership, Results Canada, the GFF, Global Health Advocates France and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs—which will provide a critical and timely dialogue on how countries and global partners can reshape the financing landscape to accelerate nutrition progress.
Register for in-person attendance (FFD4 conference registration required).
WEDNESDAY, JULY 2 | 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. CEST

Sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) improves lives and economies. In this session, learn how smart investments in SRHR drive sustainable growth.
